Decision Day will be on Thursday, May 1st at 6:00 PM in the CHS gym. It’s going to be a special celebration to recognize all of their hard work in finalizing their transition to postsecondary education or training!
There will be one last FAFSA Assist for parents to attend on Monday, May 5th from 1:00–4:00 PM in the InTech Lab.

Cairo High School NHS Juniors Hit the Road!
This week, our National Honor Society juniors embarked on a whirlwind two-day college tour across Georgia. They visited Kennesaw State University, Georgia Tech, the University of Georgia, and Georgia College & State University — with a fun stop at a Braves game along the way! They even got to hear from recent CHS graduates. A huge thank you to everyone who made this experience possible, especially Mr. Scanling for his commitment to the safety of our students.

Cairo High School proudly participated in the prestigious “Georgia Laws of Life” essay contest. This competition, drawing schools from all corners of Georgia, provided a platform for students to articulate the guiding principles by which they live. From our student body, 48 essays were carefully selected, and our state-selected school winners, Alejandro Adams (12th grade), Aubrey Whigham (11th grade), Kynzee Crosby (10th grade), and Gavin Barrett (9th grade), emerged as shining examples of our school’s exceptional talent. Alejandro Adams was named the Cairo High School overall winner. His essay advanced to the final round of 49, comprising all the school winners in the state. Alejandro received distinction as a State Finalist, ranking among the top 18 essays in Georgia. This is a remarkable accomplishment, as he was the only one selected from this region. We are immensely proud of all of our students and wish Alejandro congratulations!
